Known for its IT cluster, Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka, offers an ample opportunities for accounting professionals also. After establishing itself as a leading IT hub, Bangalore has become the financial center. The city has skilled human resources and a proven ability to attract the attention of leading finance sector players. Moreover, the presence of top-notch companies in the financial & allied sectors has produced a high number of accounts jobs in Bangalore.

To make Bangalore the new financial center, the state government has allotted 50 acres for the development of the IFCI Financial City at the Hardware Park, Bangalore Road. The Financial City will become the major hub where all leading players of the financial system would be having their offices. It will emerge as the one-stop shop for those who want to avail financial services.

Around 16 financial services companies have decided to open their offices in the Financial City. It will include banks, insurance companies, Income Tax Department and investment companies. It will be India’s first financial city and the project will be completed by 2015.

As compared to other Indian cities like Delhi, Chennai, Gurgaon and Mumbai, Bangalore has not been known as the financial center in the country. However, many leading banking institutions have established their presence in the city. The development of the IFCI Financial City in the city, akin to the IT parks, is likely to produce new banking and accounting jobs in Bangalore. Major players like JP Morgan, Northern Trust, Societe Generale and Goldman Sachs, have opened their offices in the city. Moreover, factors like location and impeccable workforce, have triggered the growth of the finance sector in the city. The government is hopeful that the Financial City will create more finance jobs in Bangalore. Also, there will be other impacts on local market & surrounding areas and it will give a boost to the local economy as the whole.

Where to find finance jobs in Bangalore?

Irrespective of the size and nature, every company has its own finance department, where you can find accounts jobs in Bangalore. Companies in real estate, digital marketing, engineering, hospitality, education, automobile, insurance, information technology and other sectors, are offering abundant finance jobs.


The finance sector pays handsome salaries to its employees. An accounting job in Bangalore can give you Rs 3-4 lakh/annum. As an accounting analyst, you can earn somewhere between Rs 5-7 lakh/annum.
